spring rush

I'm transferring to OSU this upcoming semester and I'm going to partake in Spring COR hopefully. Does anybody have any ideas on which houses will partake in this? I know I will find out in January, but the suspension is killing me! Any tips?

You might as well not rush. You have to be a SUPER sophomore to get a sophomore bid from a good house. (4.0 tons of involvement, smoking hot, or, a solid legacy.) Or just rush one of the lower tier houses, they're nice!

Chi Omega doesn't worry about KD. Believe me. KD wishes they would but actually the ones that KD competes with are AXO and PM. Chi Omega competes with Gamma Phi and maybe Pi Phi. NOT KD.

I knew a girl who rushed as a sophomore (wasn't a legacy, pretty attractive, and had a 3.5 gpa) and she got into a top house. So it is doable but RARE. Just depends on how well you present yourself.

Go ahead and go through COR and see what you think. You are under no obligation to join, and COR is a lot less intense than formal fall recruitment. One thing to remember (as pointed out above), it is HARD to get picked up as a sophomore. My house took a couple, but they were girls who were good friends with girls in our house who had stellar grades, activities, etc. There is nothing wrong with any of the houses doing COR (despite the garbage you read on this website). Meet them and see what you think, and see what you might have to offer those houses.
