Let’s work together to make a change!!
by: positiveI’ve noticed that a lot of chapters have simply gone back to a cute “aesthetic” on their instagram, and are no longer posting about the what’s going on in our world. Come on, Panhellenic community, we can do better!! Let’s work hard and make a change and make the Greek system more welcoming to people of color. Shout out to the chapters that continue to provide resources and are more focused on making a change than a cute aesthetic :)

Honestly social media people probably only have so much control over what they post. These are the girls who are qualified to use presets on pictures, that really doesn’t make them qualified to preach the causes and effects of systemic racism. Most girls in sororities seem to be using their personal social media platforms to uplift black voices and share petitions to help make changes right now, but I feel like girls who were picked to post cute pictures have no idea how to tackle the issue of racism on Instagram

Just graduated, so I'm no longer in a house. But the hypocrisy of all this is downright scary. We aren't just on the edge of Marxism, we're in it now; the police state is real and it won't stop. I can also say that diversity simply doesn't work. Can't speak for the guys, but there were always in-house issues with our minority bids that compounded the normal girl politics. Despite our best intentions, nothing could make them happy. Nothing. Every effort was made, from inclusion training to "conversations," diversity history days, awards/recognition, official and unofficial quotas for service and socials, etc. They still wanted more. It was never enough, never seemed close in their eyes. It tainted the sisterhood we did have. And it breaks my heart even as I write this.

Never said "Diversity bids," sweetie. And I'm not sure how that phrase or the one I used could ever be considered a "problem," much less the "EXACT" one. If women can't handle simple rhetoric, they don't deserve nice things. No wonder we're losing to the men when we spout such nonsense!

"Kayley" is likely not GL. That said, she's not wrong about the racism going on. ADPi and Chi O being the most responsible. Put on a show of inclusion and progressive values, but it's never really the case. Always white whenever you see them out anywhere or on SM. And passive aggressive when you interact with them as a PoC (even Latinas like myself)

Greek life at OSU is predominately white, which can be off putting to people of color. Anyone with eyes can see that...
