sorority initiations
by: shookmy roommate is in a sorority and she came back from initiation ritual whatever stuff last night and was in tears. I’m not in a house and I know they can’t talk about but like what’s up with that? why would you want to traumatize your new members and send them home basically crying?

Being in Greek means you’re willing to put up with it all. Not everyone is strong enough. I think all the pre initiation stuff is really stupid and bordering on abusive, but I guess it’s just the way it is.. it’s not going to change anytime soon and so I guess we just decide it’s worth it because that’s how it is.

No, not actual initiation. I misspoke. I’m talking about the rituals houses do the week before new members get officially initiated.
