rec letters!!!

I am going through recruitment, but I don't have any rec letters. Does that mean I won't get a bid???

It doesn’t necessarily mean that you won’t get a bid. If you have a good personality, can hold a conversation, and are recruitable, you should end up somewhere. Recs aren’t required, just a plus! Post on your facebook and see if anyone know you can write you one. Half of us didn’t even personally know the people who wrote our recs lol.

It's not too late. Ask your mom and the moms of your friends to help. Also ask your teachers. Put up a status on facebook that you're looking for recs. You'll get all you need if you're diligent and keep after it.

If a house wants you they'll get one for you..yeah idk what that means either

Don’t rely on that. If you are an amazing PNM meaning high GPA, super involved, lots of service, great personality and you don’t have a rec, then before bid day, they’ll find an alum to write you one real quick. Most houses can’t give a bid without one. So in other words, YOU NEED RECS!

But if there are two girls they like equally as well, you and a girl that already has a rec, you'll be out and she'll be in. Just a warning.
