How often are Legacies cut?

It's different for different houses. If you're invited back to the third round your chances are very good.

If you make it to pref you go to the top of the bid list -think this is required by panhellenic but I don't know about any house but mine

Panhellenic cannot get involved in a chapters membership selection, so Panhel cannot make a sorority take a legacy. Each sorority has it's own policy regarding legacies, and all of them don't necessarily place legacies on the first bid list.

I don't know. Go ask your mom or whomever you're a legacy through. She will know.

Most sororities try to honor legacies, but come in with a positive attitude and that you want to work hard to make this the best sorority ever!

All sororities cut legacies and all sororities keep legacies. It just depends on the "fit". Some girls at OSU are legacies to several houses.

Most sororities do try to keep their legacies unless they absolutely don't click with them.

We were brutal this year, cut 8 legacies.

Not as brutal as it was to a mother who pledged to a group of sisters that turned their back on the person she loves the most. One day you too may be you may be a mother of a daughter who is going through rush. See how you feel about your sisters when that happens to you and your daughter. Being part of a house use to mean something. Its called loyalty. I guess that was just lip service.
