by: ??

I'm wanting to join a sorority this coming spring when I transfer to OSU. I have about a 3.6 prob higher after the fall semester. I was a cheerleader, played lacrosse, and danced as well as a lot of volunteer work. I come from up north and don't have any family or friends in Greek life so I'm lost on where to find rec letters will it get you cut faster from recruitment if you don't have them?...also once you sign up for recruitment what info do the sororities get? like just name, grade, major, GPA than the resume an possible rec letters? I'm not sure how all of this works any help would be appreciated thank you!

Okay so having rec letters can only help you but a house won’t cut a girl because they don’t have one because there are so many things that are way more important. I was in an almost identical situation and ended up in a house I love! When you register you upload your resume so the houses will get anything on there along with your grades, major and year in school. All of that is for formal recruitment in the fall. But since you said you want to join in the spring you’re going to be going through cob so the best thing to do is print out a bunch of copies of your resume and give one to a person from each house when you introduce yourself at the browse session. In your conversations with them you can highlight your involvement, why you want to go greek, and anything else you think makes you unique and an asset to their chapter.
