These are how the houses are perceived by other greeks at OSU. There will always be those who disagree with this ranking because their house is ranked too low, but I can't help that. If you go through recruitment, you will see that this is the order in which the girls prefer the houses. Chi O is on top generally, but is very religious which doesn't attract everyone. But everyone they want, they get. Kappa and Gamma Phi are also at the top of the list every year as far as rush returns. Everyone likes them a lot. Pi Phi and Theta round out the top 5. They are respected houses, but have had their problems recently. They won't ever be an embarrassing affiliation.
AXO, ZTA, and KD are all right. I will say that KDs have a bit of a chip on their shoulders because they think they should be higher. They will probably be all over this ranking cutting down some of the higher houses and saying that KD should be up there.
The bottom houses are pretty easy to get into which is great because they all have a great sisterhood. The one I feel sorriest for is Tri Delta because they have such a strong house at OU and those girls are sooooo embarrassed by their chapter at OSU. Which says something about that sorority. Anyway, AOII has the ability to break away from this pack because they are new and don't really have a bad rep yet.
Having said all that, all the houses are better than being independent and living in a dorm or apt.

If you don't agree you aren't very clued into greek life. This is the most honest rating I've seen on here. Are you in the house that never agrees about where people see their house? Yeah, I thought so! It's all right. Y'all are happy in the KD house and win some shows some years. Just don't get your panties in a twist trying to be something you're not. Just be satisfied with your sisters. :)

Dear Mrs. Blown Away,
Why are you creeping on this site if you are not at OSU? You must have been here a long time ago and if I were you I'd be embarrassed to comment on a sorority that I knew nothing current about. It would also be interesting to know what house you were in and have people from different eras comment about your house. Maybe you could throw in some vintage photos and have people make fun of the hair and clothes. In other words, go find some grown up friends to chat with and leave this site for college students.

I agree. Theta is awful now. Starting with the hazing scandal then continuing through some pretty bad new member classes, embarrassing partying problems, and grade slides, they've had a few bad years. I'd put them definitely below Pi Phi. I still think they're better than KD, though. Alpha Chi and Zeta haven't ever been that great -- they've always taken girls with lesser grades.

Thetas "hazing scandal" (which a VERY small number of girls were involved in) happened years ago. The girls involved haves since graduated. Let it go. They were only .0078 away from the second place spot in grades last semester. Grade slides? Embarassing party problems? Name them. Cause I'm pretty sure every single house has girls that party.
#19by: My opinion
This is a very accurate ranking. I agree that KDs do have a bit of a bad attitude about their ranking. I've known KDs that kind of complain when people talk about, for example, how Chi O is tops in grades and wins homecoming every year. KDs say "yeah but we're always really good in shows." That's true, but when you look at return rates, they are pretty far down. Chi O is definitely the top, but KKG and GPB are not far behind. And really, the girls that go Chi O are a bit different -- more conservative and religious. There are lots of girls like that in all the top houses, but there are just more of them in Chi O.
