cob question
by: UnsureI had three houses left tonight that I'm not in love with. I didn't maximize my options but if I accept a bid from one of them tomorrow and decide I don't like it, can I drop and sign up for COB when it opens? I'm a little confused about the process works...

No, if you accept a bid and then drop, you cannot participate in COB, immediately following the end of Recruitment. If you drop prior to accepting the Bid, you might be able to. I would ask your Rho Chi.
Now, having said that...the only houses that will participate in COB are those that don't meet Chapter total. They may or may not jave met Quota. Only a few houses will be able to extend bids during COB.
Pledging a Sorority is a big decision, and while you may not be "in love" with a house right now, all houses at OSU are great houses!if you are given a bid from your first choice, you should seriously consider it! You will be surprised how much you will grow to love the house you pledge! And 5 years down the road, you won't be able to believe you even doubted your decision.

All of the houses here have their good and bad aspects, but they are all really great houses in a really great Greek system. You probably didn't make the smartest decision by not maximizing your options because now you run the risk of not getting a bid at all. If you do get a bid and decide to drop for whatever reason, you will have to wait a full year and rush again as a sophomore.
