help!
by: PnmI enjoyed Greek Discovery Day but I'm so nervous about fall recruitment. There are so many girls going through and I feel so average. I'm worried about getting cut from every house. What can I do to increase my chances of getting a bid ?

The biggest form of advice I can give you is to be yourself! Don't come in thinking you need to change who you are and how you act in order to fit in with a house. It is cheesy to say, but you just need to trust the process and give it your all. Your attitude is one of the only things you have complete control of during that time, so wake up each morning of recruitment excited, happy and ready to take on the day. It is a stressful week, but you will have a great time!

Everyone is going to be the best version of themselves, though. So if your outfit is tight, spend the summer getting in shape. If your hair needs to be cut, start now getting the right cut. Manicure your nails but choose a color that won't identify you as the girl with halloween nails or something (true story). In other words be yourself but polished up.

I think what the person above me was trying to say, is, when she says during recruitment be your "polished" best version of yourself is, remember that the women rushing you are considering whether or not they would what someone like you representing their sisterhood and chapter.
I am going to be completely honest here, just make sure your clothes are cute and your style, but also make sure they're appropriate and flatter your body type. If you wouldn't wear it around your grandma or youth minister it's probably not appropriate for you to wear.
With that being said, Sorority women are going out of their way to look presentable for all PNMs, you should do the same for them. This means take a shower put on deodorant etc, and just make yourself feel comfortable and presentable.

Thank you! Yesterday really got me excited about the Greek System and being a part of a sorority. I just keep hearing so much from friends about how brutal recruitment is and how hard it is if you don't have great grades, connections and outgoing.
