greek discovery day
by: PNMCan someone explain more about Greek Discovery Day? What will PNMs do? Do we visit all the sorority houses? I'm nervous about the recruitment process and don't really know what to expect

Don't sweat it! Basically it's mock "recruitment" and you'll go to each house and talk to the girls just to get a feel for each house. It's not really tied to actual formal recruitment, so there won't be any rounds or being invited back to any houses. GDD is a great way to introduce yourself to the recruitment process and learn what to expect on the actual week so just go in and have fun with it :)

Don't worry about it. It's basically just practice for recruitment, there's nothing to worry about. You'll basically have mock conversations at some houses and tour some houses. It's perfect because it'll prepare you for fall recruitment. Just be yourself and have fun. Good luck!

The Greek system at OSU is very strong. All of the houses have a lot to offer! Don't read the posts on here to decide on who's "best" or "top tier"...it's who is the right house foe you. And, GDD is a great introduction To
Greek life and recruitment at OSU! Have fun and be yourself!
#5by: No worries
As far as what to expect of GDD and recruitment in general. You will line up outside of a house and the women will most likely bang on the walls and start singing. Then you'll enter the house and shake hands with a few people. You will then get paired up with a girl and she will lead you to a seat. Then you guys will just talk (she should be driving the conversation so don't stress over topics). Just be yourself and have fun. You should be guided throughout the day and your time in each house so there should never be any confusion. Good luck!!
