alpha xi delta

I think the root of the problem is just ignorance. I know it is a turn off to a lot of girls if they can't live in house, myself included. Alpha Xi also doesn't have a local philanthropy and for me it is important to be involved in the Stillwater community. That being said, Alpha Xi wasn't the right fit for me, but it totally is for other girls. I think some girls didn't like the house for whatever reason so they chose to talk bad about it. Then the people they are talking to form negative opinions on the house and continue to spread those ideas, it just snowballs. Girls talk bad about every house for a whole assortment of reasons, AXID is just an easy target I guess. Honestly it just comes down to personal preference, not everybody will like every house. Some people just choose to speak poorly about the houses they dislike, it's not solely an AXiD problem but rather an overall greek culture problem.

Also I really don't think it's fair to generalize and say " everyone goes out of their way to talk bad about AXiD" because that's not even somewhat true. Yeah they get it worse than most other houses but I know I speak for both myself and my sisters (as well as women in other houses) but I don't have a problem with Alpha Xi at all, I would love to see them grow and be successful, because that just makes for a stronger Panhellenic system. In all honestly I think part of the problem is the Xi's feeling sorry for themselves and having an "everyone's out to get us/everyone hates us" mentality. They need to go out and show everybody what they're missing out on, not sit around feeling sorry for themselves. They have the ability to prove everyone wrong and change people's opinions but they have to put effort into making it happen :)
