GDD is Greek Discovery Day which is like a day where you learn about Greek life at the school and get the chance to visit some houses. It really goes prepare you if you plan on going through formal recruitment

Yes, definitely go! You won't regret it! They have sessions for parents as well which allows them to get familiar with Greek Life as well. It gives you a chance to see what being in a house would be like. It's a long day, so dress comfortably but put-together. Smile, be yourself, ask questions, and smile some more!

If you are rushing fraternities make sure you check the IFC website. Hidden in it is the list of frats that have had hazing, alcohol and other violations. Don't trust the houses to tell you the truth.
