GPhi have had some good classes but not sure if that can make them #2 or #3 though on just being chill. I also don't think that their freshman class was that strong minus a few. I would say they are top 5 though.

Agree. Gphi is top 5 without a doubt but I wouldn't say number one or even two

I see a lot of criticism on here of Chi O, G Phi, and Pi Phi, but they're all ranked high by the pnms.

Don't try and ride our coat tails PiPhi. You aren't in the same lane as Chio or PiPhi.

Phi mu is below kd and alpha chi is under pi phi

Phi Mu may have been "top of the bottom tier" a few years back, but it's not any more. They are now solidly at the top of the middle tier and very very close to top tier.

To say otherwise is to be living in the past.

Ok phi mu calm down, you literally can't go from being bottom tier to "almost top tier" in the matter of a couple years. Chapters take time to develop and change.

Also if you're top tier, why don't you pair with top tier fraternities? Just a little food for thought while you push your way to the "top"

I don't evaluate sororities based on what guys they hang out with. That'a about as shallow and superficial as evaluating a young woman on her looks.

Give it a couple years and if they keep working hard they could be bottom of top tier. And yes, in fact they did go from bottom tier to top of middle within a couple years.

I consider Theta a number 2 house just because I liked them the most during recruitment. They wound up dropping me but after being in my house for a couple months now I see that I definitely fit my house's personality better

They're probably 3rd but some would say 4th depending on what you are looking for. But not making VR will definitely hurt them with recruiting next year.

I don't think anyone really cares about VR during recruitment. I mean GPB is never strong in any of that stuff and they are still a popular house. I personally don't care about VR now that I am in a house and I know a lot of people that feel that way.

I'm in a house that does well in shows and there is considerable pressure to continue doing well. That said, I kind of agree that VR and Follies are not the most important things in the world. But if you're a house that depends on doing well, you have to continue doing well or it will affect your popularity. If your house usually doesn't do shows, not making it won't affect you but making it makes you look more versatile. That's a long way of saying it does hurt Theta not to make VR and it helps GPhi to make it.

I agree that what girls think during recruitment is the most important for ranks. Everyone has her own personal rank, but recruitment is the only overall VOTE that is ever taken. That's okay. I love my house even though it's not a top five house. I admit I was cut by those houses which was good because I found my squad.

Recruitment is what drives popularity. Girls pick houses that they are impressed by. If they're singers and dancers they'll pick a house that does well in shows. If they're academics they'll pick a house that does well in grades. If they're all around popular, nice girls, they'll pick a house that has a lot of other girls like that.

For the most part this is true. If the house isn't at quota (say they need 2 girls and they already know who they want). They are still required to be at the browse session because that makes it fair to all of the girls going through COB. They have to give everyone a chance to talk to the house, so it's both an international thing and OSU thing I guess. The COB rules and quota are set by OSU not g-phi headquarters though

Some rules are set by OSU and some are set by by the headquarters of each house. I know my house is prohibited from taking new members at any time other than formal unless we are required to by the university. Just being under total (we are 5 under) does not require us to COB so we are not doing it. I understand that some houses' headquarters require them to (like GPB???) but ours is just the opposite.

Actually, that picture was posted by a Theta. And there were some PiPhis and KDs involved as well. Should hurt all of their rankings I would imagine.

Well it looks extra bad because the pi phi is actually wearing letters in the picture. I don't think KD was involved though
