told i cut them
by: 2016Just curious In several conversations since rush I've been told by a certain house that I originally was interested in, that I had cut them , when in fact I did not cut them . Why would they think that?. Different girls are saying this. It doesn't matter now. I've made another choice, but curious, because it would have changed things

I think there was a glitch - I really do! It happened last year. A PNM picked another house based off being cut by a house she was a triple legacy for. Later found out the computer messed up and showed they cut her. They didn't. She stayed with the other house and is happy, but I can't help but wonder how often that happens. .

Sorry. There is no such thing as a computer glitch. The truth is that you were ranked so low by the sorority and they reached their maximum before they got to your name. The girls who've told you that you dropped them just assumed that because you didn't come back. They know that they voted on you and thought that you were ranked high enough that you would come back. No one but the adviser and maybe the recruitment chair would know exactly where you ranked and even they wouldn't know exactly who ranked the sorority low enough that they didn't come back. No one knows anything until they get the party list for the day.
I'm not trying to hurt your feelings, just to let you know you ended up where you are supposed to be. Love the girls that loved you!!!

The house members vote but they do not see the ranks. You can assume a PNM cut your house but it could be the exact opposite depending on where she is on the invite list. The houses have to cut so many PNMs each round. This # is pre-determined by Panhellenic, not the individual house.
