bid day and ranking
by: HTHow likely is it to get your first pref on your ranking for bid day? I only have one house I want, and put two others down that I don't even want. How does it work?

The majority of PNM's get their first choice, but around 1/3 or so will get their 2nd or 3rd choice. There is no way to know where you fall on your #1's bid list to answer this question.
Just know that if you decline a bid from your 2nd or 3rd choice, you are ineligible for COB or any other rush activity until August 2017. (Assuming you listed all 3 on your pref card).
My advice: if you get your 2nd or 3rd choice, put on a smile and go to bid day. You've barely met any of the actives this week, and there's an entire new pledge class joining. If you can't make friends in a house with 200+ girls in it, it's your own damn fault. All houses are pretty much the same- you'll have a Big/Lil sis, date parties & formals, participate in Greek events, etc. All houses are big enough to have a lot of different types of girls in them! Put the gossip aside and give them a try if they're on your bid card. And for the love of god - do NOT be the girl who cries all the way rhrough bid day. It's insulting.
