snap bids

Hello! How likely is it that a girl receives a snap bid this year?

There will probably be one house that definitely needs to snap bid to get closer to quota, and then have COB later this semester. If your special snowflake cut this house, I doubt she'd be interested in accepting a snap bid.

As for all of the other houses, they would have to not make quota to need to snap bid tomorrow morning before bid day starts. Let's say some houses don't make quota and need to snap, if your daughter was cut by any of those houses, they would 99% not consider her for a snap bid.

Thank you for replying. One more question. My daughter told me that when they look at a girls GPA they took out electives and only use your core GPA? This is new to me. I have heard of using unweighted and/or weighted GPA but I am not familiar with excluding elective classes. Is that true?

It's called core gpa. Some girls take more challenging schedules than others and sororities like to take girls who have already been challenged so that they know they're up to college classes. Each house wants to do well in grades -- it's totally expected.

Core GPA has been used at OSU for several years now. The house does get Core, Weighted and Unweighted GPA for each girl. Most houses with focus on the core GPA as it is a better indicator if how the girl will handle college level classes. Some girls will try to improve their GPA by taking easy elective classes which is why the core GPA is so important.
