continuous open bidding
by: OKStateWhat's the process for COB? Does a PNM have to have had an invite during rush from a sorority to be considered for COB? I know COB is not offered if there aren't spots to fill. Is it better to participate in COB in the spring or August?

You need to let the Greek Life office know that you want to participate in COB opportunities. As far as when to do it? Why not give it a try this semester? That way you don't potentially miss out on all the fun. If it doesn't work out, then you can re-enroll for COB spring semester. There may be more sororities eligible for COB in the spring.

You do not have to have received an invite to participate in COB.
I think the only way that you can NOT participate in COB, is if you sign your MRABA and then refuse a bid to a sorority that you listed on your MRABA (Friday night final list). Even if you still have 3 sororities on Friday, you do NOT have to list all of them on your MRABA.
Example 1: You have ABC DEF GHI Friday Pref Day. You list all 3 on your MRABA. You receive a bid from ABC, but turn it down. Then you can NOT participate in COB.
Example 2: You have ABC DEF GHI Friday Pref Day. You list only 2 on your MRABA. You do NOT receive a bid from the 2 you listed, then you can participate in COB.
gogreek on okstate edu has all the details on COB. This site doesn't allow links.
Looking into this myself. I don't know if it will come to that or if she even would consider it. Daughter is quiet until you get to know her so the process isn't the best for her.
