What sorority houses are more lenient about having/not having reference letters and which ones take them more seriously?

They all take them seriously. If they don't take them seriously, they're usually not one of the better houses. Go through recruitment yourself and you'll see

No, it shows that the PNM is either lazy and didn't bother to get Recs or isn't well connected in the Greek alumni community. You need to get Recs or you'll be an easy person to release if you're a mediocre girl.
