It's not anything specific that they did, maybe it was just the girls that they had on pref night preferred to be in a different house. I ended up choosing a different house personally, but I loved kappa and I have great friends there! Being a few members short on bid day doesn't mean they still aren't a great house, sometimes rush just works out that way :)

They only had 57 and quota was 62. It's on the website. And I'm not a Pi Phi. I'm just wondering what happened.

Kappa didn't make quota because girls liked other houses better. All the same, PiPhi made quota but only because top girls cut them before pref. So however you put it... Kappa is still better than PiPhi.

Really? That's really funny because If you go to the actual ok state website, which is gogreek.okstate.edu and look at fall 2015 recruitment, you will count the names of 62 girls which pledged KKG. Next time, you might try checking your facts before you spread lies. Thanks.

That website counts the number of bids accepted in general, not accepted on bid day. This literally happened in August why are people arguing about whether they did or didn't give snap bids? They 100% gave snap bids but that doesn't by any means make them a bad house. They are forsure in top 5 and recruit better than half the wannabes, snap bids or not

Ok, because I am sick of this - I'm telling it like it is. When the kappa bid list was made, a number of names were accidentally left off when it was submitted. The list that was turned in was short. It's sad because some girls didn't get their bids as intended, but it was a error, and those things happen. When the list was found to be short, additional bids were immediately offered - and accepted of course. You're crazy if you think Kappa didn't make quota.

I think what you're saying is that some girls you thought would accept your bids didn't do as they were intended and you had to hand out other bids which then were accepted. That's not an error -- it's just how recruitment goes. You went through all the girls that you had at all your parties and could only get 57 to accept. That's not an error, it's a poor showing at pref or even before. Just admit it and say you're working on things for next year. I think it just makes it worse to keep saying that you did make quota, then that you didn't but it was an error, etc. You need to just be honest.

No that is not what I am saying - and for you to speculate on things you don't know anything about demonstrates a lack the compassion and sisterhood that Panhellenic represents. If you'd rather create drama than understand a mistake that caused a lot of heartache knowing some girls didn't get their intended bid - then go ahead and keep trying to perpetuate the lie that you seems so hellbent on promoting almost a year later. My house checks everything multiple times before we submit our lists to panhellenic. I'm surprised that Kappa was that careless to leave five girls off their list. In fact, I kind of don't believe it. Sorry. I'm as compassionate as anyone else, but since at pref you send in your entire pref list in the order you want the girls, I don't see how it's even possible to leave five names off.

As someone who went through this past year– I loved kappa and carried them to pref day. Going into the last day I thought for sure I wanted kappa but they gave me a girl I didn't know and I hadn't talked to the entire week. So I ended up pledging GPhi- this happened to a lot of girl in my gamma chi who were also at kappa on pref day I think that could've possibly been why so many girls didn't accept bids from kappa

You can't leave names off your pref list. They're all on there already and you just select the order. Any other day but pref her excuse might make sense but not for pref. If they're at your pref party they're already on your list and you can't take them off. Her excuse is bs.

Basically they went for girls that preferred other houses. Usually they would lose girls to ChiO, Theta, and Gamma Phi but this year they also lost a lot to AXO, Zeta, and even some lower houses.
