gpa too low to rush?

I am in incoming freshman girl looking to rush in the fall. My high school GPA is not as high as I would like it to be (3.23 unweighted) but my college GPA is a 3.5 and I have a lot of extracurricular/service hours. I heard a lot of sororities will say they have a certain GPA requirement (say 3.0) but really they only take girls with like 3.5. Is this true and what are my best options for sororities at OSU?

Most houses go off of core GPA, so as long as you did well in your basic courses you should be fine. The only house that cuts higher than they say is Chi-O.

Most of the houses use a higher high school core GPA to cut than a 3.0 or 3.2. They typically use it to weed out girls. They have to start somewhere with almost 1000 girls starting out during recruitment so this is what they use. I'm not sure about college GPA but I think a 3.5 should be good at any of the houses.
