You should still run for exec. You may just think you won't be elected based on what you described, but maybe there are others who want to see the changes you mention.

Find new friends in your house and try to stay out of the drama. If you know of other girls who want to see the same changes, encourage them to run for other positions as well.

Hi guys. It's me again. So I did run for exec, but I didn't get elected. The girls who did get on exec are already planning to make changes, but those changes don't correlate with my values and I don't like the way this chapter is going. It's become a shell of the chapter that I thought I had joined. I try to stay out of the drama, but it's hard since I'm surrounded by it so much. I feel like this chapter has made me, as well as my fellow sisters, worse as a person. I did take a little this semester, and I adore her, and I still adore my big, but aside from them, I can't really think of any other reason to stay. It wouldn't be fair to my little for me to drop, but this chapter is literally sucking the life out of me.

I feel the same way girl. I'm in what's considered a "top" tier house. I thought the sisterhood would be great since a lot of girls wanted to join them during recruitment but now that I'm a sis there are all these stupid rules. Like no sweatpants. They make fun od you for posting selfies. I joined a sorority to make friends and support a good cause not to be be told what I can't do and wear.

I 2nd what "it's not all it's cracked up 2 be" said. My house isn't exactly top tier and doesn't have any rules against selfies or sweatpants, but we have other rules that I think are pretty stupid. They monitor our social media like crazy and message us to take down any post that they don't find "appropriate" almost instantly. If you put up even a subtweet about a sister, they tell you to delete it because they want to cover up all the drama in the sisterhood and make us seem like the closest house on campus. I got a message one time just because I said the f word in a status that was of song lyrics! And they also once sent out a chapter wide email that said "unless you look like a perfect 10, don't wear letters in public". I joined to be part of a sisterhood, not have my freedom of speech taken away or to be told how to look all the time.
