recruitment
by: Say?Recruitment hasn't been over for even a week and people are posting horrible things about almost every chapter. One poster even said there should be a weight limit for girls going through. If you want the number of houses on this campus to decrease keep on posting this super negative stuff. Greeks need to support each other ....there are enough haters out there already.

I agree totally with all comments except the "suck it up" comment. PiPhi is the weak link now and I think they've been on this campus for close to a hundred years. AOPi has strong numbers regardless of the evaluation of their pledge class though. Too bad the ChiO can't be more supportive and stop with the stereotyping! Every house has a mix of girls...

Seriously, ugh. I'm in Kappa and although it's top tier, I have friends in every house. Some of the "lower tiers" have better sisterhood than the top anyways. With all the negativity, we need to do our part to build each other up. Greek unity creates a stronger community and promotes happier, healthier relations.

AOPi made quota in the past 2 years, but they didn't make it this year. I only counted 39 in their pledge class picture and quota was 44. They also took the largest spring pledge class so they do struggle with numbers a bit. They're not a bad chapter by any means, but to say that they don't struggle would be a stretch. Also, quality over quantity.
I have a friend who's a Pi Phi. They actually have the best new member and active retention rate of all the houses on campus. I wouldn't say they're a "weak link" cause they seem to be just as solid as every other house on campus. They struggled with this past pledge class, but I think it's just because rush was so late. After 6 weeks, it gives PNMs more time to listen to stereotypes of each house. I think this also hurt AOPi a bit, too. They need to just hold rush within the first few weeks of school the way they did in the past. It won't completely stop the negativity, but it will give less time for PNMs to be exposed to it. All of the houses are great!
