by: Acceptee1I recently accepted into wvu and my whole family were members of ΣΑΕ and I was just wonder is it a good frat? Do they have a good brotherhood? Do they haze hard? Thanks

They're pretty solid. Not great, not bad. Don't cause trouble and have good sorority relations. Usually have decent sports team, grades, etc. Kind of in a strange phase because they're in the process of building a new house/losing the leased one they are in. Don't have a whole lot of open parties, but the few they have such as USAE are usually well attended and I guess their socials are OK as well. I would say SAE is a solid middle of the pack fraternity.

They don't have rush, so I would imagine there's very little "hazing." However, I wouldn't know myself. Anyway they are a pretty solid group, very motivated and create a good environment to excel. It's a shame DTD is getting their house back but I can see SAE moving into Kappa Sig or Beta's house now. I imagine a cooperation between those two Fraternities in the future to help change the campus mentality for the better. Obviously I am biased.

How is it a shame? The delts were bound to come back eventually, and SAE already have 4 million+ for a new house.

SAE is going to be just fine. Their nationals are bringing millions of dollars to the table to build a house behind Stalnaker. My sister's boyfriend is an SAE and the plans for their new house are ridiculous. He said that they're getting 8 football tall marble lions imported from Thailand or something...

I would not bother rushing SAE because at the end of the spring semester so they are going to be as irreverent Alpha Sigma Pi and Sig Ep
