incoming female freshman
by: curiousThis fall I'll be coming in as a freshman and want to join a sorority. My sister goes to USC and is in a sorority there but doesn't know how rush works up here. What should I expect/who are the top houses?

Fall rush is only for people with 12 credits or more. She will only be able to rush during the spring unless at least 12 credits. I will not be discussing top houses. Tell her to rush anywhere she likes. DZ had a terrible spring 2020 pledge class and tri sig is low. A lot of options if you subtract those two.

Rush is not as cutthroat at WVU. There are only 8 chapters. Everyone rushes in the spring for formal recruitment. You should not expect anything crazy or like what you see in the YouTube vlogs of girls rushing in the south. Much more laid back here and less serious. Most people get a bid unless they drop. Girls usually like kkg, chi o, alpha phi and SK the best but there’s not any crazy stereotypes and the girls in different chapters are close. Only a handful of girls are judgey and think they’re better than other panhel sisters. Good luck!
