new sororitys? and more panhellenic love
by: curiousSo I heard rumors that there may be some new Panhellenic chapters joining campus like Tri Sigma in the beginning of the semester. Is that still gonna happen? Haven’t heard anything since the fall. Also, not in Greek life but I’m seeing a lot of hate and negativity. Just be better. Be a sister to your fellow Panhellenic sisters!

Unfortunately that’s not how it works. A chapter just doesn’t decide to come back. WVU Panhellenic has to be open to new chapters and there is an invitation process.
There were 10 sororities at WVU when my mom was here (Tri Delt and Kappa Delta) and I agree it would be great for PNMs to have other options! Not that I don’t think all of our current houses aren’t great!

Tri Delt was here a super long time ago like in the 70s and maybe even the 80s. We also did have Kappa Delta on campus which was back in 2000ish. They closed as they were a struggling house and had a issue with a new member and the sister involved were required to sign their papers and quit. Kappa Delta didn’t have enough sisters to fill spots so they had to close. This is coming from my cousin who attended WVU around this time and their house was the house between Phi and SK. I believe they have first priority to come back and re-charter before any other chapters would be able to but we would need to have the need for them with all chapters.
