seceding is the best option
by: Buffs
As you all know, several frats have seceded from the IFC or are close to. Let me just offer up this tidbit: Almost 20 years ago, CU Boulder admin tried to pull the same BS and pass a bunch of ridiculous rules to limit partying. The frats, however, refused to cooperate and all of them decided to instead move off campus, where they've existed ever since. They created their own IFC to govern themselves and the University can't touch them because remember, they became unrecognized: CU Boulder admin literally has to treat them like they don't exist. Of course, nationals are still a factor, but it's a lot easier to be a thriving fraternity without the University trying to lynch every frat in sight. Look it up if you dont believe me; CU Boulder has the right idea. Now its up to us to follow their example.
It's not crazy. We can do this. Long live John Denver.

You're just trying to make your own frat's case look better by getting other frats to join you. Nobody fall for this. If you aren't doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about. I hate how just because some people don't feel like they have to follow rules, they try to stir up the pot and screw everybody over. I understand not liking rules, but the people looking to secede from greek life are the ones who are gonna kill it. Just have a house on campus and party at annex houses off campus like literally every other fraternity at every school in America.
