wvu frats suck
by: sadokay sorry but the frats disaffiliating are honestly idiots and are completely going against everything Greek life is supposed to stand for in the first place just because they can’t get even mediocre GPAs and can’t be men and just accept their mistakes and improve themselves. It’s hysterical when grown ass men can’t accept people trying to look out for them and follow reasonable rules that are meant to keep people safe. Imagine how great Greek life could be on this campus if the fraternities tried even half as hard as the sororities do. Good luck in the real world when ur life isn’t a frat boy fantasy. Sad. Do better :/

Okay sooo it’s a bad thing that kids are pushed to the frats with higher GPAs? And oh sorry it’s so tragic that you’re slowly dying from not being able to party and it’s SO outlandish that you would have to bring your GPA back up to get out of social probation.. you’re right that other organizations on campus don’t have the same restrictions but god damn at this point it’s pretty clear why Greek life (the fraternities specifically) do. It’s clear where their priorities lie and that’s also clear to WVU. Just look at the community scorecard from last semester. Maybe if you tried a little harder like some of the “try hard” frats you wouldn’t be so pissed off. It’s as simple as that.

You’re dumb as hell if you think the university is looking out for Greek life. They’re trying to get rid of it in the most lowkey way possible. Deferred rush makes it extremely difficult to fill houses and grow in general. This has nothing to do with GPAs and some of the frats who are disaffiliating are in decent standing with the university too. You comparing “frat boy fantasies” to sorority life is laughable. Y’all can’t throw parties or haze so you get ridiculous numbers no matter what. Not to mention there’s only 7 of you.
TL;DR: The university is gradually getting rid of Greek life and the party school culture of WVU. There’s no perks of staying with IFC and following their strict rules. I hope more frats follow suit.

I think the whole point of this post is to say that obviously none of them think the rules are reasonable because they think they’re above it when rlly they haven’t done anything to gain the respect of the university..
