how much time does pledging take up

Hey guys I am looking to rush fall but I was wondering how much time pledging takes up? I am a competitive athlete (trains 3-4 a day 6 days a week) and taking 17 credits the sesmter I plan to rush. I do want to be a part of Greek life but I don't want to compromise my training or grades. How much time does pledging take. And is it possible to pledge while still maintaining my training and studying?

It all depends on the chapter and what their new member period is like. They are usually 6-8 weeks with a weekly meeting. Some requirements might include your presence at social and philanthropic events for both your chapter and other chapters! After the new member period some people become less involved with the chapter but it really all comes down to who you end up joining. Also it’s good to ask that kind of stuff during recruitment because the members will be able to tell you how it was for them personally. Good luck!

some places will take a lot of effort and time, if you arent trying to pledge a real fraternity you can go sign up at Sig Ep or SAE
