I know it would help to have connections, but do you necessarily have to know anyone in a frat to get a bid? I heard that in some you can't get a bid if you're some random.

There have been guys who didn’t get a bid for knowing someone in the frat besides Pike or KA who will accept any guy. It’s better not to yet you wouldn’t fully matter either way. Make new friends anyway aka your brothers
