Can freshman rush in fall or do they have to wait till spring

The president of IFC was saying that only a few of the fraternities are going to allow fall rush (basically all the frats that have the easy pledging). If you want to rush a place like Phi Sig, Sigma Chi, or Pike with time consuming pledging, you won't be able to rush until the spring. For example, if you pledge Phi Sig your first semester of college, you won't be able to get stuff done because you'll get hazed 24/7.

No freshman can rush until second semester for sororities. Depending on house numbers some houses will be doing informal recruitment in the fall but only for sophomores and above.
And if you want to gripe about it blame the fraternities whose actions pushed WVU to implement deferred rush for both fraternities and sororities.

I am not crazy about deferred rush but if almost every frat wasn't acting like major asshats it wouldn't have happened.
