Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority Ratings at WKU

The sorority for your stereotypical college girl who’s only personality trait is getting drunk and posting it on social media. They act nice but in reality are some of the most stuck up people you will ever meet. Doesn’t show up to anyone’s philanthropy events. Not really sure what their philanthropy is because I’ve never seen them do anything for it. Get it together ladies it’s not cute

These girls are the “fake friend” type. They come off as sweet and fun, but talk mad crap behind your back. After getting to know a few, the amount that have considered dropping is immense due to the small circle of friends within the group. It’s really sad to see all the of the drunk messes all over social media as well. I would expect more from a “top tier” sorority and think they would have higher standards.

In previous years it seemed like aopi had a few bad pledge classes, and a couple girls may have gotten out of hand. Over the years this chapter has definitely improved and I would say they’re back to top tier if you can even say WKU has tiers. Other chapters that have improved are AGD and AZD.

I wish I had something nice to say besides their new house is incredible, but these girls are the girls that bullied you in high school. If you don't meet their level, your the scum of the earth.

There’s either a person or an organization that keeps paying to have any sort of positive or even neutral review about AOII taken down. I’m alum from my sorority and I’ve been watching reviews on here to see what has changed since I graduated (especially since I am in my sorority’s local alumni chapter and seeing how things on campus are going helps us know how to guide collegiate sisters) - it’s really sad to see the drama and competition hasn’t changed at all. Every time I see a good review posted, the next day it’s gone and replaced with a really bad review. This has happened with other sororities that I’ve looked at, not just AOII. It seems like someone has it out for Chi O and KD too. Girls, stop trying to use this website to either make your organization look better or make an organization you compete with look worse. It’s tacky, it’s immature, and it’s not what any Panhellenic sorority would consider womanly. Grow up. AOII is fine, as is Chi O, as is Phi Mu, as is AXiD, as is KD... please stop the nonsense on this website and focus on loving one another instead. Love yourself, love your sisters, and love the people in other organizations that help make WKU’s Panhellenic community great. Being in a sorority isn’t just for 4 years, it’s for life (as they say) but from an adult’s standpoint, more needs to be done so that those 4 years are more fulfilling for collegiate women so that they don’t feel the need to be so harsh to one another. These girls are all around amazing. They’re super hot and super fun. Most of them are actually pretty down to earth too. They have a strong philanthropy and a brand new house.

I’m a sophomore going through recruitment and haven’t had a problem with anyone in AOPI. I’ve overheard a lot of conversations with AOPIs on my dorm floor last year and it seemed like they weren’t trying to be backstabbers, but those may have been some of the better girls. One conversation I overheard while I was on the toilet was one girl had a schedule conflict and the chapter voted to have their meetings on a day she couldn’t go. Another one (also was on the toilet) was about a girl that came in to talk during their chapter meeting about joining another organization, and the girl apparently talked way too long and made the meeting go late. Just based on what I’ve noticed it seems like every sorority complains about something or someone in one way or another. I’m worried that this year’s recruitment online is going to end up with (all) sororities choosing girls based on superficial things. I wish pref was in person because even though I like some sororities now, I might not end up in the right place because I haven’t talked to girls in person and everyone talks about preference day being more emotional. And it’s hard to read body language when recruitment is virtual. One girl I talked to today was explaining the reason that they changed the motto and while she was describing “inspiring ambition” she used the phrase “faith hope and love” for like the inspirational part. This may sound stupid but that worries me because I know “faith, hope, love” is a Christian thing and I’m an atheist. It’s really awkward bringing up my beliefs to almost anyone but if I end up in a religious sorority I know I’ll end up dropping. I didn’t get the vibe last year that AOPIs were super religious girls so I’m over here like “do what now?” Maybe someone on here can answer me about if AOPI is religious or not. Don’t give me any sorority secrets obviously because like as a PNM I respect that but are they known for definitely being Christian like ADPI or OPA or are they more like Chi O (or maybe it was AXiD idr) that I know had one or two first generation Americans that were also Muslims? It would really suck to start making new friends in a sorority only to find out it’s based on following a god I don’t even believe in

Currently going through recruitment and I thought aopi was going to be bad like a lot of these reviews say but I had a really genuine conversation with a girl that I honestly could’ve talked to for like an hour if there was time. It’s too early to know if aopi is right for me and I still have a really open mind and like a couple other sororities too but I hope I’m still friends with her no matter where I end up because I felt like we had everything in common
