tiers
by: PNMI wish I didn't let all this ranking and tier stuff get to me, but I think it affects everyones judgments and decisions. I still went through the whole process and ended up with "not the best", but I will accept the bid tomorrow regardless of what anyone else thinks because I want to be a part of greek life and try it out. I just want to know if the whole "tiers" thing affects the mixers, events, etc... I don't want to miss out on awesome events and social activities because some frats dont "want" to mix with these lower tier sororities. I want to get the same opportunities that these "hot and pretty" girls get in top tiers.

oh no boys won't like you if you join a certain sorority? They must be super cool guys to hang out with, why wouldn't you want to hang out with guys who discriminate like that??
Fun fact: picking a sorority based off of frats is stupid. You're going to spend 90% of your time with the girls in your chapter, not the guys in frats you mix with. Even for supposed "top tier" sororities mixers are literally less than 10% of the time you spend in your sorority.
Guys don't ask what sorority you're in at the doors of their parties. You can still go to frat parties. It'll be ok. The assigned mixers you go to during Greek week and homecoming yeah those will vary from sorority to sorority and frat to frat.
But if it makes you feel better DG and theta girls date guys in frats like kappa sig, Fiji, and whoever all the time. They might actually like them for who they are.

I'm gonna keep it real here, I joined a "low" tier and have been dating a guy in one of the top frats for 3 years. I think I'm the only girl from my sorority that has ever gone to their formals...But hey, who cares? Clearly my tier didn't affect my ability to get guys in whatever tier. We still have mixers with frats and nothing stops girls from meeting guys in other groups and going to their frats events. During HC and Greek Week me and my bf go to our respective events and usually meet up right after. Being in a low tier can only affect your self-esteem if you let it. Most people don't care once they realize you're a cool person.
