its going to be ok you guys.
I know a lot of you probably did not have the sororities you wanted on your pref schedule today. That's ok to feel that way. But buck up, and go to those pref parties!! This is where the chapters give you a peek into their rituals and values and what they are REALLY about.
Fun fact: EVERY SORORITY HAS MIXERS, DG and Theta too. They all have girls who go out and who stay in sometimes. But believe me, the mixers don't make the sorority. The girls in it are what make it! The sisterhood and their values you'll see in pref are what make a chapter what it is and the chapters on your pref schedule WANT YOU there.
One talk about rush killing their self esteem, why? If you still have even one chapter on your pref schedule, that means 100+ girls WANT YOU and want you to be a part of their chapter. They want you to be someone's little, to be in their airband, to dance with them at UDance, to be their social chair, to volunteer with them, to go out with them, to make their chapter better than it has ever been, and to make memories with them.
Go to pref, rank your preferences (MAXIMIZE YOUR OPTIONS) and get your bid on bid day and even if it was your second choice go to the bid day the chapter has planned. I promise you will regret it if you don't.
Recruitment and bid day are only the beginning not the end. You'll have so many opportunities to get to know your pledge class and sisters and I guarantee you will end up loving it.
