sorority
by: JuniorDo a lot of sororities typically do informal rush in the Fall? If I did formal rush in the spring would it be tough for me to get a bid as a junior? Would it be better to rush in the spring or the fall?

Informal rush usually 1 or 2 chapters do it. DG pretty much always does it. Are you in formal recruitment now? A few chapters have taken juniors before.
If you chose not to participate in recruitment and informal doesn't go your way, Maybe colonizing Pi Phi would be a good option to consider? They're looking for all grade levels to start their sorority.
But colonizing a sorority is way different from formal sorority recruitment. Your getting interviewed by adult alumnae usually as opposed to your peers (sometimes they bring in collegiate members from another school, but usually not until the end). They're looking for leaders to build a good foundation and grow a chapter here. You probably won't get a typical big/little week or some of the typical established sorority things , but If you think you can do that give it a shot!
