new chapters
by: yodoes anyone on IFC or knows ppl on it know of any chapters trying to come on campus? and for a new fraternity to come on does somebody have to get kicked off? Im a freshman who didnt get a bid and would consider starting a chapter

AEPi is recolonizing at the University of Delaware. That being said who knows when they will get chartered. After this I doubt there will be any further IFC expansion anytime soon (especially after the recent charter of DKE).
Just go out and rush again. It's really not worth it to start a new chapter anyway. You will have graduated by the time anyone in your fraternity gets the same experience people in an established fraternity have.

Sammy will most likely never, ever come back at UD. Neither the school nor their nationals are interested in any increased association with/publicity of a chapter that killed a kid.

I know Machi has a couple dudes tryna recharter but it seems unlikely. Better luck tryna get in a newish fraternity that may rise. Aepi is brand new, DKE is a year old, Alpha Sig is 2 years old and Phi Psi is 3 years old. Try your luck sir.

Sigma Chi is suspended at the University of Delaware through Spring 2016. Once that period passes the national organization can try to colonize again here. It remains to be seen whether they will actually do that though.
