There will be an endless argument on here about "switch this sorority (fraternity) with this other one", but this is how it is on campus. No specific order within the tiers.
Sororities
Upper: AZD, SK, AlphaPhi, ChiO
Middle: ASA, GammaPhi, ADPi, PhiSig
Lower: AEPhi, DG, Theta
Fraternities
Upper: SigEp, SigNu, KA, SAE, KappaSig
Middle: SigPI, FIJI, PiKapp, DTD, ThetaChi, PhiPsi, KDR
Lower: LambdaChi, ZBT, AlphaSig, DKE

Yea no sig pi and arguably fiji should be in the top group. Although we have mixed with fiji on occasion we definitley mix with sig pi. I feel like people dont know much about them and therefore put them in random spots.

Sig Pi doesn't really belong with those other fraternities in the middle. They pretty much mix with just the top four sororities. They also throw day drinks with Machi and SAE which no middle tier fraternity does. Definitely on par with Kap Sig and SAE as lower top.

I have a theory that I like to call "Tier Identity" where I believe most people don't care about the ranking of an individual fraternity or sorority, but rather associate 1 or 2 specifically with that ranking. For example when I think of top tier fraternity, I don't debate whether or not sig nu or kap sig belong there, I just think of like KA or something as a basis for comparison. When I think of bottom tier, I don't think of Alpha sig or DKE, I think of ZBT as a basis. This isn't to say that ZBT is the bottom of the bottom (although personally I believe this to be true) or that KA is the top of the top, I'm just saying that since our society likes to create categories and sub catergories of everything, it also likes to pick one of those subcategories as a norm comparable to the the others in its group.
The interesting thing I find here is that this can be positive or negative depending on which identity you are embodying. For example, when I first got to school, I had only heard of ZBT as a bottom tier without learning about what other ones are bottom. The omission of other fraternities within their ranking was a good thing because when I thought of ranking I immediately thought of ZBT=bottom and not Alpha Sig=bottom, even if ZBT=Alpha Sig. This also is true for the top tier in vice versa.

The reason why ZBT is always seen as bottom even though there are others like DKE is because ZBT has had that reputation for years where fraternities like DKE are to new to put a label on.

i mean they don't mix with the group they're put in so it really doesn't make much sense. Sig pi mixes with the top 4 and Fiji does too but mixes with gphi and Asa more. The other 5 don't. Yes, they might have done something with azd once but not consistantly . The other 5 have 4 ways together with adpi and phi sig mostly so socially this is innacurate
