Hi so I'm transferring to UD this fall and I was a member of a sorority at my old school that is not here. would I be able to rush a new sorority?

It is true. If you were INITIATED into a sorority ANYWHERE you cannot join another one. You are a member for life :)
Might be different for frats (cant imagine it is though....)
