I really need to hear some positive rush stories. I am really upset with the number I have left and I am scared I won't get a bid.

The number you have let is irrelevant. YOU ONLY JOIN 1 SORORITY.
Girls go through and end with 8 the first weekend and then have 3 the second weekend. Once you focus less on the number you have left and more on how you could possibly fit into who you have left, you might find out you are much happier.
I went to pref round with 2 chapters. It wasn't that I didn't like them, but I had a favorite that I could have SWORN i was going to be invited to and get a bid to. I was crying (ugh, embarassing) and almost dropped out. THANK GOD I DIDN'T. Went to the next round, it was ok. My current chapter I had an ok time with. The other i didn't as much, but the girls were nice. Then I went to pref round. I went to pref round for the other sorority and I was like WOW, the other one will have a run for their money. But then I went to the one for my current chapter. YES I WAS ONE OF THOSE GIRLS WHO CRIED IN SOMEONE ELSES PREF ROUND. I knew I was home. A girl I had talked to during philanthropy was telling me her story and I knew I was home.
I was so nervous I wouldn't get a bid from the chapter I wanted, but I did. Between Friday and Sunday I had gone from almost dropping out and crying to finding where I truly belong! I owe everything to my sorority and credit them with allowing me the be who I really am and making me the best version of myself!
Don't lose hope! Give the group(s) you have left a shot. You don't want to miss out on something amazing.

My friend had one sorority left that she thought she didn't like, I forced her to accept the bid and just try it out. She was super hesitant and upset but did and now she's on their exec board and lives in their sorority house. She came back to me a month later and thanked me. GIVE IT A CHANCE.

Most all PNMs who make it through Preference Night will receive a bid on bid day! Which chapter will be determined, but you should be matched with a wonderful sisterhood. it is extremely likely, that if you successfully complete rush week, it will end with an invitation to join a chapter.

I went from all sororities in open house to 3 in skit to 1 in philanthropy/preference. It sucked (a lot) but I stuck through it and and here I am today. I can't imagine being anywhere else, not because I'm used to being in my chapter but because they really were the best match for me and I just didn't know it. Stick with it! You'll feel more regret dropping out than going back to a chapter you may not necessarily like.

I went from 11 to 7 to 3, which was scary to have my options chopped in half but the entire time I kept my "favorite" so I felt okay about it. However, I came back to pref and only had 2 left; neither were the one I wanted. I was sad and disappointed, but at the same time figured I paid $60, I might as well finish it out.

I had an AMAZING pref round and I never would have expected to love my sorority the way I started to in that moment. Now I cannot imagine being anywhere else!

If it helps, my BFF went from 11 to 4 to 2 to 1, and she's in a sorority now and LOVES it. As long as you are positive and happy to be there, you will get a bid. Like everyone says you only get ONE bid and join ONE sorority.

Feel better! You're so close!

Are their a lot of cuts from philanthropy round to preference?

I mean it depends, but you can only get up to 2 back so I don't think so.

Some chapters are all in for the girls they have; some are still deciding. I can't make a call for everyone; no one can. Usually cuts aren't too dramatic between philanthropy and pref though.

Don't worry; it's out of your hands anyway.
