I know that im not supposed to listen to this site or reputations of the sororities but all the girls seem nice in recruitment and I don't know who actually is. I just dont want to pick a sorority only to regret it during pledging. Can anyone give me some honest advice

No one can tell you what to do. sorry. You're going to actually have to make you own decisions. Honestly though, any round before pref, the sororities have 99% if the decision making power. Pref round, if you have 2 sororities left, that's when your opinion is weighed more heavily. So enjoy the ride until then.
Everyone will tell you to stick it out, and i agree. You probably won't regret your pledge process trust me. All the sororities have crush parties, all of them do philanthropy, all of them give you a big sister, all of them will spoil you to no end.

It's not about nice versus not nice. It's about where you feel comfortable. So base it off that. No one is ever trying to not be nice

I would wait until pref, because that is honestly where all of the madness stops. You are left with two options, and even if they are not the ones you went in liking, they both really like YOU and can see you in their chapter. After your pref round, really reflect long and hard about the two chapters. Think about your experiences in their rooms, from open house to pref, and consider how you felt. Think about the sisters you talked to; can you see yourself going to coffee with them, laughing with them, being yourself with them?

Go with who you felt the most comfortable and happy with out of the two. All chapters have nice girls; you won't be disappointed there. You will get the same tangible things from any sorority (clothes, mixers, bigs) but in the end it is up to you to decide who you connect with on an emotional level.

Best of luck, you're so close to the end! Stick with it and just enjoy yourself. I did and I have never been happier :)

You want honesty then let me bring you back to where I was when I was a pnm:

The week waiting to hear back SUCKED. I was anxious and didn't want to focus on school. So when I got back to rush friday I got my list and I cried. Not because I didn't like my list, but because waiting a week and then being dropped by one of my favorite chapters was just a lot of stress and caused me some emotion. Which is totally fine!! (Honestly the way UD does recruitment is awful) but once I got my emotions out i took a deep breath and reminded myself the WHY like why did I even bother entering recruitment. Which I gaurentee like the rest of you (freshman/ sophomores or transfers) it's because you want a group who will support you and make memories with. Which I promise you, if you decide to continue on, you will get. The next step is which chapter makes you feel important and make you feel that you'll be successful whether that be leadership positions (which is more likely to happen in a smaller chapter), or service opportunities (a couple chapters have their OWN charity and it's hands on), or maybe it's you just want some genuine sisters who will be there to do everything like going out or staying up til 2 am at the lib. I remember being in one chapters room and I wanted to be liked so bad I acted differently than myself...n I realized I didn't want to fake who I was for four years. Just think about it- bc these chapters already see you're true potentially. Time for you to see it yourself
