hi
by: ughI am pretty unhappy about my results and might drop out. I know you should stick it out but I don't see myself in the few sororities i have left. will this put me at a disadvantage for next year?

Girlfriend, there's no guarantee you'll have whatever you consider "better" results next year. Also, you just got halfway through recruitment; how can you already not see yourself in these sororities? They clearly can see you in their chapters and are giving you a chance, so why not give them one?
Unless you're one of the PNMs who's all about tiers, in which case don't bother, because no sisterhood benefits from that kind of attitude.

I know you might be disappointed right now, but you might as well stick it out because your chances of getting anything different next year are slim to none. Also there are much higher expectations put on sophomores and many sororities will not take more than a certain number. Some sororities even have a higher GPA requirement (even like 0.3-0.4 higher than they require for freshmen). So my advice is to talk to your rho gamma (that's what they're there for!) and stick it out. If you get past bid day and really hate your decision, drop and rush next year. But these sororities that you are "unhappy about" may come to surprise you

Agree with above, very little changes this year to next year with rush.
Big question to ask yourself, why are you unhappy with the chapters you have left? Honestly. A clear answer. No "i just don't see myself there" or "there's no connection".
You've talked to maybe 8 girls in these chapters over the course of a total of 40 minutes, how do you know there's no connection or that you won't fit in? I'm more inclined to think the sorority has a better idea of who will fit into their chapter than you do.
Beating a dead horse here, but trust the system. i hate to be blunt but unless you truly find yourself unhappy because you think you're above the chapters you have left and are better then them. In that case, please drop out. Time for some tough love sorry.
