To PNMs: It is possible for one person to make multiple ratings from one computer or phone with internet capability. Tnat makes it possible for strings of ratings to represent the opinion of ONLY one person. This is done to manipulate rankings.
Best recourse is to get to know girls in different houses your first semester then to go into recruitment with an open mind. Look for the houses you see as the best fit for you.

so what exactly is wrong with DG? i was in recruitment the first week but had to get out of it for personal reasons, and i actually liked them better than some other chapters. i dont get why everyone gives them a hard time. explanation?

If you are interested in going Greek, ignore this website. The notion of ranking sororities is a joke in itself. Obviously the people in each sorority think that they are number one and rightfully so. They found that sorority to be most appealing to them and, subsequently, joined it. But this doesn't make it an excuse to put down other people. Please think about it before you go to bash a sorority. We all have friends in other sororities and it's not fair to them to put them down because of wanting to be in first in the rankings. The negative comments are getting out of control. While I would prefer that nobody used this site whatsoever, can we at least stop being rude to one and other? There is no real ranking because a ranking of the sororities is a personal opinion. Just because a few people leave comments on here doesn't give them the right to decide the order. Thanks.

It is all subjective! What you think is best is not necessarily what someone else thinks is best. Who do you think you are?? If this is based on something Panhelenic is releasing then shame on them for promoting and fueling this type of childish, hurtful, judgemental exclusionary view of "us against them" thinking. Show some class, UD, and stop acting like an elitist society!!

Every time I see someone put 11111 I laugh a little, because of how pathetic those people must be to have to put others down. And when people reply with 55555 I laugh again, because of how people try to boost their own self esteem. Honesty is the best policy people.

Please DO NOT think this is what sororities are all about...this is a few idiots trying to boost their own self-confidence by bashing on those they are jealous of and trying to boost their own perceived status by bashing houses they feel might be beneath them. One good thing about the deferred rush at UD is it will give you a chance to observe how the girls in each chapter act outside recruitment. The same girl who is a total hag getting coffee may be all smiles and sisterhood during rush, while the really nice girl from your business class might seem aloof at first when you see her at open house (...we get nervous or tired, too). Just keep your eyes open, and don't fall in love with one particular house before recruitment starts. The positives definitely outweigh the negatives.
