sorority comments

i feel like this link will need to be posted again...and again....and again.......
obviously all the PNM posts are fake and not an actual pnm but seriously...

Can anyone at least state the truth on what this sorority is like for those of us trying to find out info for rush? Cause it seems like every house rating has a wide variety of haters, posers, and liars. Hell, even the sorority websites give more information than this site. Btw thanks a bunch for this "informative experience".... not.

I'm so sorry you've already found this and other sites like this. Do not listen to them. People say sororities are rising/falling or whatever but these rankings are obviously not how it is. When you get to school you will know probably right away. Rush is in spring so you will have all of fall to figure out who you will fit into the best

I personally think that all the sororities are really strong at UD. Yes, ALL of them. They are all different with different personalities but that's what makes a great Greek system! If you look at the sorority websites, they all have beautiful girls, great philanthropy projects and leadership opportunities for their members. Yes--some groups may be more "social" than others (meaning their focus is on parties and mixers with the "best" fraternities) but that should not be the sole reason for joining a sorority. Some PNM's look for strong academics, some look for a strong sisterhood, and some look for a strong social chapter...Regardless, all the groups at UD have strong nationals so there's a great place for all PNM's. Keep an open mind during recruitment and pick the house that feels like "home"!

With regards to your number 1 point....You'd be surprised. Recruitment info is made known to certain parties such as panhel, membership chairs, presidents...There are plenty of girls with a top house and a middle/lower tier house for pref and end up choosing the middle/lower tier chapter. Not every girl is going to love a top house. I'm starting to believe that all of these people leaving rude/hopeless comments/ranks want girls to do badly during rush and aimlessly try for top houses that they probably don't even want just because a bunch of girls on a website are telling them to. What does that say about our Greek system? Since when did tiers and ranking overshadow quality sisterhood? This website makes me sick.

here is 1 persons opinion...

ADPi: A good, well rounded group of women. Very philanthropic and competitive. Smart too. Let girls be themselves. Definitely where I would want to be if my chapter didnt exist.

AEPhi: Definitely have a type, although there are exceptions. Their type is kind of tan, dark haired, jappy, fashion merch....but like i said there are exceptions. Really a trendy group. Real social.

ASA: Tan, Talented, Tenacious. More unity with in Fams than within the entire chapter it seems. Could clean up their behavior at parties though. Not the classiest group honestly. I've seen fights, puke and nudity from these girls at parties.

A Phi: Nice girls with money to spend. Nothing wrong with that. Very realistically pretty. Like most of them would look pretty much the same without makeup on. Always polished looking and carry themselves very well.

GPhiB: A mixed group, getting more unified since they have recruited their own girls now. Generally sweet, cute girls; however, they "groom" their new members a little too much for my liking. Meaning, as soon as they get their bid older members "gently" suggest they change the way they do things. Like how they dress, do their hair, etc.Which may be why they are considered to be getting cooler, but in my opinion individuals coming together make a stronger group than breeding clones.

DG: Cannot pin a real stereotype on them in my opinion. Some are kinda nerdy and gawky, and some are quite pretty and major in things like fashion merch. One thing I can see is how close they are to each other and how they genuinely like making friends with members of the other chapters in the greek community.

AZD: Smart girls, well rounded. For whatever reason, in my mind they are like the "cooler" older sisterof ADPi. Haven't seen much unity/sisterhood within them, but thats coming from an outsider.

Theta: A very diverse group. Every girls can be themselves and still feel included. Always give it their all. One thing I have noticed though, is that they are trying to now recruit "cooler" girls, but when they do get them, those girls do not hang out with the regular theta girls. It creates a clear divide in the sisterhood.

Sigma Kappa: The cool girls in high school who never quite left high school. Very talented, but come off as fake. In both appearance and personality.

Chi O: A fantastic collection of young women. Down to earth girls with a lot of indivduality. Each girl is free to do their own thing, and are involved in clubs outside greek life. Super girl-next-door types.

i thought i was the only one who noticed that about gamma phi! they def recruit some blank canvases they know they can influence easily. not a bad strategy i guess.
