syllabus week

You can't really worry about your GPA the first week of classes? Especially when there's not much work. I get we shouldn't go out but like I guess I don't understand why at least a few nights at the beginning of syllabus week aren't okay. I don't mean this in a rude way I just want to understand.

Adding on to that, two girls on my floor got caught going out freshman year, they were cut the next round. Don't be stupid

First of all, you're going to be too busy to want to party. You have the new member orientation meeting, you'll most likely meet with your rho gammas during the week to work on name tags/ talk about recruitment/ bond, and you'll probably at least have a little bit of work during the week. If you go get drunk and go out during the midst of this time of preparation, how do you think it'll look to the sisters you might run into? We all went through the same thing when we prepared to rush, it's not that hard. If we see you being sloppy, it's not going to look good on you. Don't risk it, go make friends and get some sleep before you Rush into two weeks of girl flirting
