by: Formal Rush 101Ladies- go through recruitment with an open mind! Be respectful and attentive to all girls you talk to, even if it is a sorority you don't have an interest in joining. Every sorority has all different types of girls so stop worrying about tiers/looks/popularity. They are all great and you will find girls you bond with in each of them. Don't let people or this website tell you which ones to join. Keep an open mind and a positive attitude, and you will end up in the perfect place! Good luck!!

Just has a side-note: I went through formal recruitment last year and in pref i had what ppl would say was 'top' tier sorority and a 'bottom' tier one. I had a much better and sincere experience with the 'bottom' and ended up ranking them first despite what this website says. I couldn't imagine myself else wear and it was the best decision I made!

Thanks! I was invited back to 5 sororities today. A little nervous...how many sororities do girls usually get asked back to?

It's a variety. Max is 8 for round 2, but A lot of girls get invited back to fewer. I got invites back to 4 for skit round when i wenot through. But remember, it only takes one. You get one bid from one sorority and can only join one. Don't focus on how many you've been invited back to because that doesnt matter, focus on the chapters who have invites you back. They deserve your attention because they're giving you theirs! Have fun today.

Thanks for the info. One quick question if you can answer. Do the sororities make their choices for next weekends round tonight or sometimes this week?

I believe most make them ASAP since they just met you all and you're fresh in their minds. Some might not, I only know my own chapter and bits of what my friends chapters do. Membership selection is private and different for each chapter. You won't get your list until right before rounds on friday.
My ggbig told me when she went through, they gave out lists on Wednesday IN THE MIDDLE OF TRABANT. boys would sit around to see how many girls cry. Ridiculous, right? So they moved it to Clayton hall and do it before rounds on friday to limit the gossip and limit people talking other girls and themselves out of going throught with the second weekend.
So, nothing you can do all week except focus on class and try to relax. you'll be fine!

Dont stress! recruitment is only tough if you make it tough. enjoy the process. Even though I would make the same choice, I'd love to go back and go through recruitment all over again!

Yes and no. It all depends really. No one can say for sure. Sometimes first round is all grade releases for some chapters, sometimes it's not. most chapters have to invite back their legacies to round 2 at least so if there's a lot of legacies, maybe a chapter can't invite as many of another certain girl back.
As far as remembering who you are, the chapters have a system. Trust it. Everything is said and done at this point so just rest up for skit round tomorrow! And remember, whoever invites you back tomorrow sees potential in YOU. Don't take that lightly! Have fun :)
