social groupings

There's two groups, no "rankings" within then. Any of the sororities and fraternities in these two groups are worth joining if youre mainly looking for the social aspect, just go where you think you fit the best.
KA, Sig Ep, SAE, Sig Nu, Kap Sig, Sig Pi - MIX WITH - Chi O, AZD, Alpha Phi, Sigma Kappa
KDR, DTD, Theta Chi, Pi Kapp, Phi Psi - MIX WITH - ADPi, Phi Sig, AEPhi
FIJI, Gamma Phi, and ASA are in between and go either way, usually leaning towards the first group
The rest aren't as social but bring different aspects to the table and are still worth looking at if being social isn't the only thing you're looking for in greek life.

Fiji and Gamma Phi really don't mix with the second group. Gamma Phi mainly mixes with Kappa Sig and Sig Nu lately.
Phi Psi and ASA are more of the floaters to me. ASA had so many mixers with KDR this year and Phi Psi has a variation of mixers.
Otherwise this is pretty on point.

Not sure why this is a thing but gamma phi had mixers with these fraternities last semester (that I remember from my roommate)
Kappa sig, sig ep, sig nu, phi psi and theta chi
ASA had mixers with kdr, theta chi, phi psi, kappa sig, a 4way and dropped on with dtd last minute. So they're pretty similar
No one "pays for mixers" esp with a lot of them being on campus and it's the guys taking the risk

this is exactly how it is.. in one of the group 2 fraternities (oh well) and we mostly mix with those 3 and ASA/Gphi once in a while. the top 4 sororities will not mix with the group 2 (maybe once in a blue moon) and same w fraternities. structures been in place for way too long. Also on the Gphi paying for sigNu i did hear that they paid for the venue etc.. no hate to Gphi tho they were fun

Lolol ASA with guns blazing on gamma phi.
Gphi has mixed with signu the past 2 semesters and Sigep as well. They're not top tier but they have pulled good mixers with different frats.
ASA is having problems bc barely any girls show up to mixers that they decide aren't good enough for them.
PhiSig is killing it bc their girls go out to every mixer and have fun (no matter who it's with)

Don't get me wrong a lot of nice, cool girls, but we used to mix with them all the time and now all of a sudden they're too "good" for us

There is a small group of girls in gamma phi that hold a lot of the power socially. The majority? does not think theyre too good for you. That small group? they think theyre too good for even the rest of their sisters.

They do have a lot of girls that definitely don't fit the bill of a top sorority but at the same time they have a handful of absolute dimes that keep them above the rest of the middle tier and just below the other top sororities
