what is sorority rush like?
by: 2018
Hi I am going to be a freshman at UDel and am wondering what sorority rush week is like here.
I have friends going to other schools who are already "prepping" for rush week there, but I hadn't heard anything about doing that for Udel's rush week.
Thanks!

The only thing you need to worry about prepping is your first semester GPA and activities. You "only need a 2.5" to sign up for rush but I am fairly certain no group will take you with a gpa that low (except maybe alpha phi and phi sig. 2 worst GPAs for sororities).
Don't stress if you don't find any activities you like the first semester, but it helps to try SOMETHING. Especially UDance since so many sorority women are involved with that. I remember a girl I talked to during recruitment who didn't join ANYTHING, but that was because she wanted to really throw herself into greek life! (there's a lot of positions and activities within greek life to get into)
Other than that just keep a clean nose. You may think that frat boy doens't remember who you are, but he could easily remember how you and all the girls in your dorm came to their house and vommed everywhere and stole his composite pictures and tell all his friends in ABC sorority. It may seem shallow, but we don't want girls with a bad rep already (and trust me, it has definitely affected girls in the past).

Memb is right I'd also like to add to keep an open mind, you'll hear things about all the chapters during your first semester, but I promise you, rush is supposed to place you in the chapter you belong in, not where you THINK you belong because of what you've heard. I promise if you keep an open mind, you'll end up in a chapter that makes you happy. I've seen so many girls not get ANY chapter because they were so fixated on where they thought they belonged.
