How do we have so many fraternities?
by: QuestionUD has about 24k students and 25 fraternities. Penn State has 90k students and 42 fraternities. Penn State could double the amount of fraternities they have and still have a worse ratio than we do. I can’t be the only one who thinks this doesn’t make sense.

It’s probably because the sports culture here is very minimal compared to other big state schools like Penn State, Rutgers, and Ohio State
Instead of getting drunk at a stadium way more kids here get drunk at a dage, a thing you generally need to be in a frat to get into if you’re a guy.
Greek life doesn’t have much competition here in terms of influencing the social scene, and there’s no bars on Main Street that take fakes either.
