Even if DG wasn't the best at recruiting, that couldn't have been the only factor. PNMs were going into a chapter that struggled to recruit already with the perception that it's the "lame/bad chapter" (an opinion/stereotype that other chapters made no effort to eliminate), so what was supposed to happen?

Here is another piece of the puzzle no one has mentioned, I’m going to go ahead and wager that none of us work as hard on recruitment as DG works on their’s.
Look I’m not saying we haven’t given up plenty of our time for rehearsals and being there late at night to set up and breakdown the rooms and be trapped in Germ infested bubbles talking with hundreds of strangers, but I’ll be honest One of the reasons I know that I hate recruitment practice is 80% of the time it doesn’t matter for my chapter except to maybe rehearse a couple of bump groups and fast facts so we don’t look like complete morons. We could literally show up to our room, not decorate, not make a video, and talk about the bachelor, And we would still probably make quota with girls who want to join our chapter. Just based on the name alone! How stupid is that? Obviously we wouldn’t be getting the pledge class that we wanted but there would still be 60 girls who would want to join us just because i don’t even know why (don’t get me wrong, my chapter is pretty rad).
Meanwhile DG is killing themselves to fill a pledge class and still when they extend bids girls wouldn’t even show up to their bid day to give it a chance.

Wouldn't be surprised, but them being the new group might give them less stigma than the other bottom groups. Pi Phi has now been here a full four years and still seems hopeless from a social perspective. Theta is theta. This recruitment could make or break any of these three.

Ok theta thanks for coming to the party. You have a much longer history at the bottom and let’s just say...history tends to repeat itself. And the Main reason you’d stay at the bottom is crap like this, always trying to nudge yourselves on top of anyone you can. Classless.

You can not deny theta has always elbowed DG out of the way to try and get “ahead” The 2 new sororities were just more stepping stones to distance themselves from DG.
