machi and off campus stigma
by: freshyIve heard that there is a off campus stigma torwards off campus fraternities but what is Machi and are they a good frat?

It’s not just Machi. All off campus fraternities have a stigma against them. Being off campus means all these fraternities don’t have to pay nationals, they don’t have any required philanthropy or GPA requirement, and can pretty much do whatever as long as they stay under the radar and be smart. APES is dying because they got raided awhile back and when you’re off, you can’t eff up at all. It’s a high risk, high reward scenario when joining any of the top off campus fraternities.

Kap Sig & Machi were the only solid off campus fraternities last year. However with KA & Sig Nu joining the ranks, it’ll be interesting to see from here on out if the stigma changes or the school lightens up and allows off campus fraternities to participate and contribute to the school community.
