starting to feel like an outsider

I'm a new member and I know that I'm not expected to feel best friends with everyone right away but I feel like everyone is forming groups and stuff around me and I'm being left behind. I'm a sophomore who doesn't really live near anyone and it seems like people are making friends with people who live near them.

Just wait till you get your big. It’s natural to feel this way after the initial excitement of bid day has died down. Go to events, get food before or after your new member meetings with people....it’ll be ok. It’s hard to put yourself out there because a sorority people think is magic instant friends. It helps for sure but you gotta still put yourself out there.

I felt the same way until I got my big. Just tough it out until then and I promise it will get better :)
